Rhythm and Reflection

Inspired by all the cooking I’ve been doing in quarantine, “Rythm & Reflection” is about the movement and reflections of light.  Perhaps my love for Chardin’s paintings played a part in the subject matter as well.  Radishes dehydrate almost immediately, and within a day, they completely metamorphosize into something else.  So this was a real challenge to paint from life!  Copper is a surface that continues to mesmerize me, and it’s fun to see where the copper shows through on this one!
